Do you think they would treat Spike differently if he were a pony? Even for a day? I mean if Spike were a boy unicorn, do you think that he would still be Twilight's assistant? Would Rarity still turn him down?
For starters, spike wouldn't be that large, since he's only a child. Foal Spike makes more sense. Also, it would be interesting to see if he were earth, unicorn, or pegasus. Maybe we'll see Spike turn into a pony during season 3
If Spike were a pony, the story would be completely different. For instance, I'm sure he wouldn't have the role as assistant for Twilight, as that would look odd seeing Twilight ordering another pony around. Also, Twilight would not have gotten her cutie mark, and everything else would fall apart from there. If here were changed into a pony randomly one day, the Mane Six would probably try to figure out how to change him back. Or Rarity would fall in love with Spike and he'd choose to stay as a pony forever. :derpe:
Hey considering how advanced the twins are, Twilight wasn't that old when she hatched him, so he's about the same age as the rest of the ponies. Just because he's immortal doesn't mean he's developing slower than them. Besides, we've seen him become an adult twice now. If Spike was a pony, Twilight would have to fetch her own coffee. I mean, what's with making the little guy clean up the library day after day? If he was a pony, he could slack off just like Twilight does. :ahh:
Thats not a given since in "Secret Of My Excess" even when his greed made him grow to an adult dragon he still did not have wings. My guess is that Spike is the Dragon Equivalent to an earth pony. Yet being a dragon still has some level of magical ability in him (thus the reason he can send letters to Celestia via Flame Mail, lol.)
