Who do you think Pinkie's real parents are? Because you're NOT gonna make me believe these are in any way related to her...
you think? as for her color, Twilight isn't really same color as her parents aether. I think Pinkie's story was quite clear on Cutie Manrk Crusader Chronicles. as for both Pinkie's and Twilight's color being different than parents, they could have gotten their colors from their grandparents, or further grandparents
well, you never know what color could have been Pinkie's grandparents it's enough for one of pinkie's grandparents to be pink to give possibility for pinkie to be pink, all other 3 could have been grayish.
Its more or less a lesson in color contrasts, Pinkie represents joy and excitement compared to the rest of her immediate family who have seemed to live a life of plainness (the Amish way of life) they live a very dull life (by Non Amish standards) but thats how it is supposed to work in an Amish family. I am beginning to think that Pinie takes after her aunt and/or uncles side of the family (Mr. and Mrs. Cake who I believe to be Pinkies relatives, and I have a pet theory that they are indeed Pinkies Aunt and Uncle)
Pinkie Pie's coat is actually slightly more muted than you would think. I know I'm colourblind, so telling others about colours seems somewhat nonsensical, but I do have an awareness of them. Pinkie's coat is actually pretty similar to her mother's (Pinkie's RGB is 244, 182, 209 compared to her mother's 219, 227, 241). It's noticably different (heck, it must be if I can see it), but not too much to be genetically abnormal, especially considering that her father's RGB is 214, 170, 084. Although Pinkie does have a stronger tone of red, she is something of a compromise of the other two colours, reinforcing she is their daughter. Perhaps the redder coat could be a recessive gene from a grandparent, such as the grandmother Pinkie sings about.
I want to know how her folks profit from rock farming... It is kind of hard to believe just by looking at them that they're her parents, but it might just mean that family genetics are wildcards as far as coat color are concerned? In that case, Pinkie would definitely be a wild card...
Well, genetics can do strange things... I think it actually makes sense for Pinkie to have come from this sort of background. I see her personality partly as a reaction against a somewhat dull upbringing.
When I think about it, I don't think those are her real parents. In Cutie Mark Chronicles, when Pinkie finishes telling her story to the CMC, at the end she says "..on the way there, I can tell you the story of how I got my cutie mark! It's a gem!" Think about it, If that wasn't her real cutie mark story, then there's a chance those aren't her real parents (or siblings) This is a good theory! Maybe, just maybe, her Granny Pie was the same shade of pink Pinkie is...
If Pinkie's telling the truth, I'd assume that Granny Pie was the only one in her family who was anything like her, and that's where she got her naturally cheerful disposition and pink coat from. As for the rock farming part, could she mean that it was basically a quarry, and that's where ponies got building materials from? Hey, that could even make the "and that's how Equestria was made!" thing partially true. Or maybe the rocks had gems in them; maybe the rock Rarity ended up in front of was on Pinkie's rock farm.
For a long time I just assumed it was a lie, from her saying that, and that those were just all ponies she made up. Theses days I'm not so sure... I really wish we'd see her parents in another episode, in real time and not a flash back --like Rarity's!
Here's what I think Pinkie's story is: "In Western Equestria born and raised, On the rock farm was where I spent most of my days, Working hard with my hair in straight locks, And just being all bored whilst moving some rocks, Then a rainbow came and it made me feel good, I started throwing parties in my neighbourhood, I threw one little party and my Mum got scared, She said "You're moving with your Auntie and Uncle in Bel-air, I mean Ponyville". God, I suck at rapping.
Yeah, I always thought that was the most obvious explanation. It was confuses me when people question the logic of a rock farm when the exact same episode had a scene where gems were found inside a rock. XD Anyway, I'm calling it: we'll see Pinkie's parents at least once this season, and it will turn out her story was 100% true. Because best pony would never lie about something like that.
I think we're all over thinking this. It's a children's show. The color of her parents were to show that they were boring, and Pinkie Pie would be happy and non-boring. Anyways, think of her name, they named her Pinkie Pie for her color! Her grandparents must've been at least a shade of pink. Maybe it was Granny Pie? Who knows?
