This was supposed to be important. This was supposed to be the episode where Starlight confronts her past and overcomes it, when she comes face-to-face with the ones responsable for turning her into a monster.

The Crusaders already helped Ponies in need and taught them valuable life lessons.

The entire point of "Crusaders of the Lost Mark" (and the entire reason why I call them "the Crusaders" and not "the Cutie Mark Crusaders") is that they found their destiny...to help those in need, to be both mentors and protectors.

They were doing pretty fine before, doing it from their own place.

...I'm just not feeling the relationship between Big Mac and Sugar Belle.

Big Mac had more chemistry with Cheerilee, and with Marble Pie (even if they are related).

Sugar Belle, to me, seems forced as a love interest. They've only known for half a season, so I don't buy Big Mac being THIS devastated at the though of Sugar Belle leaving him.

I honestly feel like this would have been better as a Cadence/Shining Armor episodfe, since their relationship is...

This was a good episode, a vast improvement over the last one. It was funny, and it had a good message...

...but Applejack and Rainbow Dash are MASSIVELY out of character here.

Yes, Applejack and Dashie are boisterous, competitive and aggressive, that's true. However, it's also true that they are very capable of reigning in those tendencies.

Remember "Sleepless in Ponyville"? Dashie took the Crusaders to a field trip there, and she wasn't competitive there.
