I'm An Autistic Writer...

I've been Autistic as far back as I can remember, and this has made life difficult for me. I started writing back in 2014, and back then people loved what I wrote fics about. But now? It's all hate towards me for doing what I want to do and not catering to them. It just feels like free will is frowned upon, I'm looked down upon because I think differently than other people. So I've decided to leave Fimfiction and write my stories elsewhere, it's just too much to handle. Fanfiction.net is better for me, since people keep to themselves, and it's made me more comfortable.

Right now, I will only allow people who are respectful and will try and help me through a story to proofread my fics. All the abuse I have suffered is making me feel like what I do doesn't even matter to anyone, and often left me in tears. When will people realize that I have a slow learning curve when it comes to grammar? So to those who know me on FimFiction, I say goodbye... I will only keep my unpublished stories there, and answer any PM's I might get; it's all I can really do at this point in my life. If any of you are interested in being an editor for one of my stories, please PM me on this site, I really need help.​

    Firstly, autism shouldn't need to feel like a sickness or curse. I share your condition. I am well aware myself of the mean spirited types that will spit on others for being different. Some will insult works of art saying that they are made by 'Autistic' people like it's some sickness that must be ridiculed. Half, if not most, of the people who spread this kinda hate most likely either don't know what it is or have it but choose to pick on others to make themselves feel better or look better.

    Do what you must. If you feel like posting stories elsewhere, do so. But know that insensitive jerks are something that are going to be part of life. No matter where you go, there is always going to be someone who is a certified douche. It's how you react to such things that determine how you deal with it. Don't ever feel like your freedom of speech is being stiffled, because those who try to do so are only going to hurt themselves in the end. Just be happy in what you do. You don't have to cater to anyone and you most certainly don't have to be taking anyone's crap. *hugs*

    Unless it's a civil critique of work, it's not worth your time to worry about.

    I understand how you feel about this, it's okay if don't have good grammar spelling or you think differently from one another. Some people do make fun of autistic people for the way how they act. Which really pisses me off sometimes when people act like a bunch of *squee!*s about it. I would try to avoid those people who criticize you and continue on writing, you'll get better at it soon, I know it.

    Yeah sure, it's alright for you to leave FimFiction if you're comfortable about leaving it. I've seen some of your work on here, and it's really good so far. I enjoy it a lot. But, keep in mind that's important to ignore those who dislike your stories and they try to be critical about it. Things will get better for you at somepoint. * hugs *
